I continue to expand my exposure to live Music
I got to see the Tedeschi Trucks Band last night in Chattanooga
It was a great performance
Derek Trucks is amazing even if He won't face the audience
and Susan Tedeschi is an incredible performer
both her voice and her guitar playing were truly enjoyable

I am glad I got to see them live

ZZ Top is next up for me

Congrats!

I'd love to catch a Tedeschi Trucks Band show. Susan has such a fantastic voice, and they've put together once heck of a band.

Many years ago I caught ZZ Top on tour with Skynyrd and really enjoyed the music, but the show wasn't much to write home about-- they stood in place the entire gig. Who knows if that's the norm for them or not LOL! Either way, they sounded great and actually played live(!)

Enjoy the show!

That's awesome! I have seen Tedeschi on her own, way back in the 90s when she opened for Mellencamp. I've seen Derek play on a couple of Clapton tours, as well as at Eric Clapton's 2007 Crossroads Festival. Technically, it was the Derek Trucks Band, joined on stage by Susan Tedeschi. Both of them are outstanding. If you haven't listened to Tedeschi Trucks Band Featuring Trey Anastasio Layla Revisited Live at Lockn' you need to find it

Actually one of the most unique and surprising moments of the night was a wild solo by the Trombone player
She was amazing
I have never seen the Trombone played like that
it certainly was a highlight of the amazing people they have besides Susan & Derek

I've been lucky enough to have seen them several times over the years, the last time was with Marcus King and Drive-By Truckers opening, which was so awesome as I'm a big fan of all 3 bands. Susan might be the best vocalist I have ever heard in person, and Derek's tone is just so goddamn good!
