Well, I sent my tortoise color HBII to the PTC to get some work done. While it was there I inquired for a quote to see how much it would cost to get the scratches and dings repaired as I've had it for over a decade and the few jazz shows I've performed with it had provided it with a few battle scars.

I was disappointed to hear that the finish work would cost more than the primary work I was having done, so I asked what the cost would be for complete refinish and it was only a little bit more than the repairs. So I just went for it, I had been wanting a charcoal burst for good while and had grown tired of brown.

* please forgive the pic quality, I don't own a digital camera and had to do it with my phone.

Dude!!!!!!! Looks killer! Turned out great!

I'm still waiting for that email letting me know my Cu22 is finished. It's been since the middle of March :(

They did a fantastic job on that burst! Sometimes Charcoal guitars are so dark they mask the flame, but this one has great contrast. I'm not a fan of Tortoise anyway, so well played my friend.

Absolutely, that's why I made the request, "charcoal burst, and LIGHT ON THE BURST", thankfully Matt at the PTC took care of business.

Although I love tortoise shell, this looks so much better now brother! Enjoy it in good health!!
