You know the feeling. I know the feeling. Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton and The Great God Of Electric Guitar all know the feeling. There are different feelings, but none are better.

You plug that certain guitar into that certain amp, and all of a sudden, the clouds part, a chorus of angels starts singing, and your world is rockin'. With any luck, it's shakin', too. It's that perfect symbiosis between guitar and amp that creates Incredible Tone.

Some combinations of guitar and amp have it, some don't. Some players get it, some never will in a million years of trying.

The DG30 plus a new McCarty has it. It's just..."right." It's pure symbiosis.

How To Achieve Les' Perfect Tone With This Combination, A Step By Step Guide:

Step One: Get your hands on one of these:

Step Two: Set the Volume Control on the guitar to 6.

Step Three: Set your DG30 up exactly like this:

Step Four: Tune guitar, and raise Master Volume to as loud as you can stand.

Step Five: Play. Adjust guitar volume higher for more gain, and lower for more cleans.

Edit: I did forget to mention that the boost was on in the back, the cut controls was set to noon, and the presence was set to 1 o'clock.

Step Six: Wipe That Silly Grin Off Your Face!

I saw that your master was at one and the first thought was Les has bat ears. Then I saw step 4.

What did you say? What?

Haha!

Yeah, I took the pic after shutting down, 'cause I wanted to remember the settings. I figured I'd post them here just in case anyone else has a DG30 and wanted to try them.

However, I did forget to post the settings on the back of the amp and just corrected that.

I always turn the master down all the way before I turn off the amp just as a hearing safety thing. I do the same thing with my studio monitor controller, and power down the speakers before powering down the rest of the gear.
