I played on one of these at the weekend in Camden, the finish is great in person - not exactly subtle, but superbly eye-catching!
I’m not sure why either, but the bridge 85/15s pickup on it sounded ridiculously hot compared to the other SEs and Core models there - I wondered if it was a HFS copy!

I had a se custom 24 ltd shipped from england to central ny,andersonsI think and it was $130 if I remember right.

Just had a look on the www.guitarguitar.co.uk website and it looks like you'd get the guitar for £665 (no VAT) then another £98 for shipping which works out to be $976 (plus whatever customs charges might be applied at your end).
I must confess I think these finishes are horrible!
