Any super Dallas owners out there.please share your opinions I got a line on one.but never played one.yor opinions would be appreciated thanks I play mostly small clubs. Thanks

I'm one of the few. In fact, I don't know anyone else here on the forums that has one. They are pretty rare in the wild.

Tell us about your existing rig and how you use it. Pedalboard? Music styles? How small are these clubs? Do you mic the guitars?

The Super Dallas is my #1. Period. We play small-medium venues and I struggle to keep my volume in check while remaining in the amp's sweet spot, at times. But I bounce between a 1x12 and PRS 2x12 to help keep volumes reasonable. It's a balancing act, but if you aren't too picky about maintaining exactly the same tone/character throughout the volume range, it's easy.

Tonally, the SuperD is another stunning example of the genius of Doug Sewell.

Ok, that's a little freaky...I played a MkIII for 20+ years, retired it for the Super D. The SuperD is voiced completely different from the Boogie - not modern at all. It's like a cross between a Bassman and a HiWatt with EL34 power stage. Tons of low end and it takes pedals like a champ. Swapping cabs yields very different results, too. It has headroom but will bark really well and reacts to my EP Booster beautifully. Match it with a DGT and the combination sounds amazing. If you can demo the amp first, you'll see what I mean.

I'm mostly in the classic rock arena but I'm also steeped in blues. With the right dirt pedals I get great Billy Gibbons tone but with more fidelity and low end punch. A guitar loaded with 11s loves this amp. He'll, I love this amp! Couldn't tell, eh?

A 50w amp is rarely a good bedroom player. But if you play unmic'ed in bars, it should do well. Especially if you lean toward the clean side of the spectrum.

let us know if you snag it!
