I hope it slays, and redeems the concept for PRS. The SE amp line had so much potential, I think it was just a rare miss by the company. Unrefined EQ, too much gain and fizzy. I've tweaked mine for tone and have fixed those problems, by now it's a killer amp, well worth the effort. And I honestly believe it's all stuff that could be built into the amp without changing the production cost. The design was so good - 2 fully independent channels, bias points, instrument level loop, rock solid build. Tone is subjective, but there wasn't, and isn't, a better designed and built 2 channel amp under a grand, PERIOD. That's why I can't part with mine.
There are amps I could get and be just as happy with the tone, but I would be pissed the first time I had to pay for a tube bias, or a burned up circuit board, broken knob, or replace the crappy stock tubes - all the junk I've had to do on every other "budget" amp I've owned.
I don't want to say too much about the current happenings of the USA Archons, only that I have felt a disturbance in the Force. I really, really want to know what's going on.
