Suggestions pls and thx

It’s so weird that the songs are different in their HZ for live/studio.

If You Want Blood the original versions key I haven’t a clue because I have always played it in 440 version.
The 440 hz version is a obviously standard and it’s perfect but you just can’t play it with the original version. If I am playing ACDC I expect it to be in standard tuning. 95% of their songs are in standard.

But excellent choices my friend. I am loving your choices. I biased as you all know and I can’t help myself! ( yes over kill on the ACDC) I am sorry if anyone is offended. I love them and always will.

Thank you for your participation! I really appreciate it!
I never heard a definitive explanation - did they just tune by ear to each other and not worry about 440, or was it an issue with the tape machine speed ( i.e. being too fast when recording, so when played back at correct speed the pitch drops slightly)?

Some early stuff (Let There Be Rock album?) I think they intentionally targeted Eb/down half a step, but still the finished recordings aren't accurate to that. As far as I know, everything later was standard tuning, but even on Highway To Hell there's stuff that's not quite on pitch. Finally seemed to stop being an issue after that album.

Live releases from all eras are standard and correct pitch, with the exception of the River Plate album from 2012, for that they're tuned to Eb, not standard. Bonfire and Backtracks feature some great versions of the early songs that you can actually play along to!

19 suggestions so far ppl.

Thankyou for your ideas. ❤️

OK, wanted to wait till last minute, but here you go:

1. Rock And Roll by Led Zepellin
2. Guitar by Prince
3. All The Way From Memphis by Mott The Hoople

If you need chord sheets or MP3's for any of them, let me know ;~)) Looking forward to seeing what the rabbit (aka your son) pulls out of the hat!

Oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t know you wanted ME to pick three. Let’s see… if Beatin around the bush is out, let’s do three from my senior year.
1- Walk All Over You
2-Touch too much, and just for you…
3-Girls Got Rhythm
And of course you have absolutely impeccable taste! Lol

We will let this simmer until tomorrow. My son is working today. Will let him choose tomorrow.

Besides he has a really hot dinner date.

I beyond excited now. Thanks so much everyone for participating in this. I have invited my neighbours for a coffee. Having an ACDC impromptu concert in my back yard.

Elated doesn’t even come close!

❤️

There were 26 songs all together

And NO! It wasn’t rigged! LMAO.

When my son picked the winner I screamed so loud. The neighbours must of thought WTF!
I giggling with happiness.

So who picked Rock n roll damnation? I kindly thank you so much. Great taste in tunes.

I am downtown for the day by myself having glorious time. Going to stop off at the guitar store. It’s huge! Stairway to Heaven anyone?

That was one of my suggestions - glad you're psyched! 🤟

So I have already learned Rock n roll damnation.
Just so much to play but here’s the caveat. I honestly tried to play the key it was in. I even tried tuning it down like my ear told me to do but it was still sharp. I cheated and used a standard tuning backing track. I need to add some little embellishments in it. You know just my little quirky touch to the song to sort of make it my own.

And holy Shite man. Back in Black solo looks easy but it’s anything but. Practicing each of these every night along with some other stuff.

Honestly @show_a_little_faith thank you so much for this because my motivation was starting to slack. You are awesome!! ❤️Glad to know there is another ACDC lover besides me.

@show_a_little_faith you have managed to ignite my passion for playing again. Honestly this song is the best thing since sliced bread. Just down and dirty. The way I like it.

Can’t stop smiling! ❤️

So I decided to bite the bullet and I am going to put it on YouTube. Just hands and guitar. I just want to guard my privacy.

I want to add something to this song. I will figure it out tonight. I can hardly wait to practice tonight. Wait? What? Practice? This song has picked my spirits up to practice exponentially. I never thought I would get my mojo back.

I play Airbourne as well. I saw a guy play the exact same song that I do. I can play it just as well or better. I have always been hesitant to put out anything on YouTube. I am not aware of the endless possibilities with all it’s features. Ya I have to put myself out there. I am nervous but I will find out how to edit. That is my biggest fear. I really hate technology especially when I am not in the loop.

I have to play around with camera angles and such. And I need my laptop up and running. Son #1 is supposed to be coming by to give me a hand.

Lola, YouTube scares the crap out of me in some ways. I like what it's capable of doing, but the privacy (or should I say lack thereof) leaves much to be desired. Kind of an all or nothing scenario. If you privatize your stuff then you can't send it to anyone to view. If you don't, then absolutely everyone can view it. And we all know there are some real doorknobs that figure they are professional critics and can't wait to slag anything that isn't in their particular taste zone.
But I wish you only the best in your endeavor, and look forward to the upcoming release!👏👍❤️

Funny you should say that because both my older son and husband said not to post this on YouTube. I was so excited as I was setting up my camera and then the 99 questions started. What was I doing so I told him. My husband said I was effing nuts to. He guards his privacy with a ferocity that I don’t see often. I can’t post in good faith. I told him I wouldn’t. I just don’t know what to do. I will ask around and see what viable options I have.

And I have mastered Rock n roll damnation. I can’t pass my guitars without picking one up and playing this song a million times.

I was really looking forward to showcasing my talent but there’s other ways.

I wouldn’t care about the negative comments because who are they to judge me and if they did well then I have some expletives for them.
I was told that I think I am a Rock star. Just some really mean and nasty comments. I stop them dead in their tracks though by asking if they have the balls to get up and play in from of others. For the most part they don’t. They are all talk and nothing but. Not even worth thinking about. Being in the band scene for 11 years I have developed a very thick skin. Nothing really bothers me!
