...that tell me stuff like, "you could build that!" Why do I listen?
So I've been trying to downsize my pedals and lately it's just been a Keeley Monterey, Keeley Caverns, Crybaby and occasionally a Phase 95. So why did I feel the need to build a huge pedalboard? Stupid voices.

So I started with this pile of red oak:

which turned into this:

So then I needed a way to mount them, and not being a fan of velco directly on the pedal, I found this for the wah:

And then I thought, d@mn, I could make those for all my pedals! So I did. Stained them to match the board, and voilà! Pedals now velcroed, but I can remove the shims anytime I want and not have that stupid sticky residue on the bottom!

So when I'd finished the shims and went to mount them, I realized that 4 slats wasn't going to work, so I tore it apart and added a 5th slat.
Here's where I'm at now:

It looked a little empty with just the 4 pedals and a looper, so I dug out a few old ones to fill the board. The Rocktek compressor is crap(sadly, I have more Rockjunk in a drawer, why did I have to be a cheap @ss and not buy Boss BITD?) and so is the MXR '78, but surprisingly the MIJ Cutec PH-01 Phaser is nicer than I remembered. I actually like it better than the Phase95 so it's going to stay on the board.
So now I had a big pedalboard it's time to buy new pedals, right? Um, so I traded for this instead...

It's a Blues Jr that's been modded within an inch of its life...and like my Marshall, it really doesn't need pedals other than the Monterey, Caverns, Wah and Phaser...:rolleyes:o_O:p

Thanks all!

Funny story about the Jr. I'm trying to downsize amps, guitars, and pedals, so I loaded up 3 guitars and a Vox AC10 Friday thinking I was headed across the river to my favorite music store for a little horse trading. After I had it all in the Jeep, I just had this feeling that I shouldn't go. Why? I don't know. So I decided to wait and head over on Saturday instead. So the next morning the better half and I headed over and I start looking for something a little different, I really wanted a SE One but no luck, yet. I found a 245 with soapbars that looked interesting so I asked to play it. They pulled out an amp that had been traded in on Friday for me to play...que the twilight music peeps. So the 245 really didn't do much for me, but the amp was interesting. I've never been a big Fender amp guy, but this one was pretty amazing. So they start listing all the mods done to it, pine 2-10 Mojotone cab, a Tone Tubby 4040 ceramic and Tone Tubby red alnico hemp speakers, sparkel mod, presence mod, stack mod, reverb mod, etc, etc, etc. So how much? Well, I wound up trading my Vox and an Epiphone for it and I can honestly say that I feel great about that deal. So I came back across the river minus one guitar but the same number of amps! I'm digging this little Fender so far, it can go from sweet cleans to dirty blues tones and the pick attack sensitivity is unreal.

I kept downsizing my amps all the way to a toaster (Kemper). Missus finally happy, so I’m finally happy :)

Congrats on successful horse trading!
