String gauge ?

Are you keeping with the 9-42 strings most PRS SE's come with or changing them out for say 10-46's

I actually run 8.5s on my SE mira....arthritis but it keeps my playing and I guess thats the important thing....I run 9s on my trem PRSi and 9s on my s2 594 as well due to shorter scale....

I’m a 10-46 guy on 25” scale or less. 25.5+ I use 9s.

I tune mine to drop C. I use a 7-string 11s set switching the 6th with the 7th to give me an almost even tension. It plays like a tad lighter than 10s.

I'm 10-52 on everything that's tuned from standard E/e all the way down to Drop B. For anything lower than that, I go for 12-56.

I use mostly 10-46, but a few have 9-42. I also have the Mark Holcomb, set up with 10-52's but keep it tuned down a whole-step. Works perfect with the longer scale, feels really easy to play. I had actually put together a chart with the various gauges and tunings (normal, 1/2 step, whole step) that I use to see how much of a "pounds of tension" difference there was. Yes, I clearly have too much free time!
