Lately I've been experiencing a lot of string breakage on my custom 24. I only ever break the E A or D string and it occurs at the bridge. In most cases the the steel core breaks and string slightly unwinds itself.

I'm using D'addario 11-49 strings with a 54 for the low E. I'm primarily in D standard/Drop C, but i still tune to standard sometimes. Am I using too thick of a string gauge, OR is my bridge not setup properly? I have a tremol-no installed and I keep my trem completely locked all the time with the bridge floating 1/16" off the body, as PRS recommends.

It looks like it has a good bit of wear. There may be burrs on the saddles that are sawing away at your strings. They can be filed smooth or if you're itching for new saddles for some reason, now's a good time.

Rub a Q-tip over the saddle and see if that tears some fibers loose. If it does you got a burr and you'll need to either replace it or try to smooth it out with some fine sandpaper.
