So, Jim reminded me of the Mad Magazine characters from the Joke and Dagger Department…

Which so perfectly matches the new addition of a 2004 black Hollowbody Spruce to match up with my 1999 white Hollowbody Spruce. May they have many adventures as they supplant one another being Head Hollowbody Spruce!

Thanks guys! The many references to SvS reminded me of reading my uncle’s Mad mags. My wife says there has never been a more representative set of guitars for a person, noting my black & white outlook on most things. The HB Spruce is such a fine instrument, stunningly light and eminently musical. @sergiodeblanc put me onto the white one, and I got a tip from @json on the black one… who says hanging out on forums isn’t beneficial?

I’ve been playing it most of the afternoon, and it’s a perfect match for White Spy… long may they do battle!
