Splitting 59/09's R/C way

I'm thinking to swap pickups in one of my PRS's to 59/09. I'm not really digging HFS/VB's in it. It has McCarty's switching scheme with Master Volume, Master Tone with push pull coil type and 3 way toggle.

So aftermarket 59/09 at PRS Accessory shop comes as anabled for coil splits so I was thinking about using DGT resistor method to avoid volume loss when in split mode.

Same time I'm blown away with coil taps in my 35th Anniversary Core. In this guitar the coil tap is made on 3PDT with a small value capacitor to ground. The cap allows the highs of the second coil to be tamed a little but leaves all the lows, so you get a single coil character with a bit more body (bass) mixed in.

I won't be modyfying my guitar for 2x 3PDT's to do that, I'm intending to keep 2PDT push pull and to symplify the wiring a little. If you replace the resistors in DGT wiring type you will essencially archive similar results.

Same time I would like to do a little twist to the wiring so here's the question:

If I do it with series small value capacitor in to a resistor to ground - will I get the best of these two ways of splitting coils?
