1st off David is the absolutely nicest guy! the playing was unreal, no keyboard player tonight so it was a 3 piece
David even signed my DGT

We talked about gear for a bit and I asked about the combo. He told me that it is a DG30 that he pulled out of the head and put into a 1x12 cab. Less now end but the tone was insane. It was about 90% all amp with the EP Booster thrown in for flavor

I first saw and heard his kickass, screaming combo amp several weeks back also at the Saxon. It was also my take that there's a low-end difference running this one vs the 2x12 BUT, I'd buy one of these in a heartbeat if PRS offered one. Congrats on the signature too~!

David has, in my opinion, the most recognizable, full "flavored" tone of anybody at the Experiences...and he really is a great guy that likes to talk shop...Congrats on the meet and sig.
So my oldest just relocated to Houston, and took the grandkids, so knowing my wife, we will be making VERY regular trips down south...
Any advice on places to see near, around the Houston area???

Though he's not a native, he does embody a "true Texan". He's certainly generous with his wisdom.

That's a small combo cab, to boot. My 1x12 is really a sealed combo cab and is noticeably bigger...but not that cool color. He does have some magnificent toys.

Thanks for sharing, and, happy birthday!

Very happy birthday, and I really enjoyed the story and the pics! Sweet!

i am not much of a Houstonite, sorry. But if you decide to travel a little further over there are a TON of great places in Austin and San Antonio

Happy Belated Texas Minor Blues! Now that is a kick #ss way to celebrate a milestone. I turned the big Five O last month. I've pondered what it must actually be like to hear DG play on his Tues nights at the Saxon! And that DG30 combo, boy I hope they consider releasing that, even as a limited edition one day!

What a great b-day! Happy belated. David truly is one of the best players out there with excellent tone to boot!
