Special Semi-Hollow Pickup Swap?

My LT have a braided and white wire for split, but I don't know if PRS makes a 4 wire version. I kinda assumed the wires are the difference of the MT. May be more, but that one I assumed for the Multitap
The 4-wire version is really only useful if you’re changing phase, and even then you can change it if you really want. The braided 3-wire simply has the inner leads of both coils tied together, so for splitting the humbucker, it should be identical. Look for the special semi hollow wiring diagram to make sure. When swapping in 58/18LT into the SSH, you would simply wire the middle (white) wire to the mini toggle that’s connected to ground. Flick it to split.

Yes phase and typical 4 wire you can control which coils, screw or slug plug, and series or parallel.

OP here. In thinking about all of the responses I realize that I love the sound of the 58/MTs in the tapped position, they're kind of a middle ground between humbuckers and single coils. I find the neck pickup way too hot and muddy when in full humbucker position and I almost always leave the neck in tapped mode. The bridge sounds great to me as is. I tried lowering the neck pickup all the way down to be flush with the pickup ring and that helps. Any other advice re pickup heights to sweeten the tone and also to maximize the quack with the middle narrowfield pickup?

I also run my neck pickup in the single coil position most of the time. I don't find the neck pickup muddy, for a humbucker, I just prefer the leaner single coil sound for most things, other than maybe some warm jazz stuff (which isn't my forte, for sure).

When it comes to quack, I think there's a limit to what you'll be able to achieve with the SSH, vs say a Strat style guitar, just because of the different build and having a humbucker middle pickup rather than a single coil. I just embrace it for what it is and use the sounds it makes, because they are very good. Best thing I've found address the quack is to adjust the pickups to PRS spec, tweak the screw side pole pieces on the neck and bridge, and buy a Silver Sky.
