Something kind of cool I came across....

Right on! That explains a few things…LOL

Yeah, I know, right??? It's almost something that I think most musicians are familiar with but it's really cool having some form of scientific proof of it. While there are infinite rewards within making music, for me that's one of the feelings that is so addictive. Whether it's with a band or just jamming with a stereo - tapping into that part of my brain where most of the creativity lies is just a very awesome feeling...pretty cool stuff.

I liked this part: "Unlike musicians who learn through sheet music, guitarists, according to researchers at Vanderbilt University, get a better grasp of a song by looking at someone playing it rather than reading the notes on paper." Well, just because it's true doesn't mean it doesn't hurt! I'm not a musician, I'm a guitarist!

Interesting article. Thanks for sharing it.

OK, but the most interesting brain chemistry of all is that of accordion players. ;)

playing guitar isn't a skill. It's a way of being.[/QUOTE]
That explains my lack of talent, I keep looking for a logical way to learn. Am I doomed? Nah, I never give up.
