Some good words about PRS from the TTK gang

The review mentioned the same things about the HX/DA that I've been shouting about for months...I'm glad I'm not alone in my thinking about this amp, because it's really a great one.

But also cool that the reviewer mentioned the SE amps; I haven't tried one, good to know it's a great value as well.

Les, your shouts haven't fallen on deaf ears... Saw a HXDA on eBay the other day with only a few hours left, no reserve, going for like $900. I was a bit shocked but the first thing that came to mind was your thread. Then I checked on it an hour later, and the bid had doubled. $#%+. Lol.

You have certainly drawn my attention to the HXDA, Les. I'll have to figure out something to be able to try one. It seems a bit over budget for me, unfortunately, which makes "buying without trying" kinda of a risky situation, financial wise. If I could only have a good PRS dealer here in Montreal (like TGS), it would solve a lot of my amp research problems. The 2 channel H is my primary target budget wise, but... The new 2 ch custom seems to be very interesting to. So does the 25th anni... And so on...
I'm no collector, I play what I own and can't imagine playing four amps at the same time, so I'm taking my time to find "the right one". I'm kinda of a one guitar, one amp type of guy, and concentrate more on my hands than on my gear, tone wise.

Anyways.. There's so many choices, it kinda drives me nuts... I just listened to a Bogner Mephisto demo and it sound great, with lots of tone shaping capabilities... Dual power tube types and stuff..

I was thinking the same thing about the SE series review. You rarely see a review of both CAD lines and SE lines in the same article.
