So in a weak moment I sold a great Quatro and I really miss the split tones. Would a 2012 P22 with the uncovered 53/10's give me the warm split tones with the 5 way switch? Or is part of that missed tone the superb build that I regrettably sold? The rosewood neck QUatro (7lbs 14 oz) had real good sustain.
Has anyone been disappointed going to the P22TM version after using the Quatro's?
I noticed a Quatro, or two, on Reverb. One has a trem and my old one didn't. But it has a lot of dings in the finish on the bottom edge. Can these be repaired easily?
Anyhow I appreciate any 53/10 tone expectations from the two slightly different designs.
I play a lot of clean tones(the 53/10's had the single coil clarity with warmth) and I play 50% acoustics so I am thinking of getting a 2012 P22. Also would just bite the bullet and get another Quatro if recommended.
I also like the full Pattern neck and am wondering if the Pattern regular would have slightly narrower string spacing at the nut.
