I do FB and IG. Mostly for the purpose of staying in contact with distant friends (FB) and keeping up with their activities. It's convenient and usually pretty fun to see what's going on with them. That and my race community uses it as a contact and news release platform for upcoming events and club member info. Racers that need parts assistance, repair and modification tips etc.
But FB can get to be a bit "argumentative" on several fronts, and that gets a bit tedious. And I get my buttons pushed on occasion too. I try not to retaliate, but damn it's hard sometimes...
IG is a tad more tempered, and usually has some really neat stuff on new musical personalities and upcoming artists. There are some really great guitarists and talented young people that are a joy to listen to and watch their progress. I do like following the PRS feed on IG...PS Friday, demos by Bryan, Paul's videos/interviews, PS Fridays, featured artists and new release info.
I don't do Twitter or any of the other stuff.
I used to be an admin on a motorcycle forum but things went sideways with the ownership/management end of it and I left due to the belligerent attitude of the executive operators. It still runs but the activity fell off and a lot of my admin and mod colleagues left as well. Sad really, it was a great community (not unlike this one in many ways) with like minded people involved but the new upper class had other intentions I reckon.
