I wrote long time, JM is with PRS since 2018-ish. In comparison with Santana's and Tremonti's connection to PRS this is "new hire".
Of course he is A-level. But the main focus was on the time.

Long time may have been your focus, but it reads as PRS 'only' has two A artists and by the way they've been around awhile.

"There are only two A-level artists, which are long time and full endorsees."

If I'm listing off artists of any tier or tenure I'd mention JM. There's also DW for 10 years. He had a core sig and now the only CE sig model in the lineup with his own pickups from Mojotone. May not be A list, but sure is treated as it and been around for a minute.

Mentioning 'reanimated', there's Orianthi. She has a LE private stock based on her one off artist build in 2017 along with a brief run way back on the se line. I've read there's also talks for another se is in the works. That's persistence. Not sure who's driving that PRS or Orianthi, but probably some of both.

I think it's cool how PRS goes above and beyond for their artists. This Pulse Artist program is part of that.

You are fully right, I should have preciced my opinion of those two as examples of long term continous relationships, and not as maybe recognized, the two only ones.

On the other hand I admit Orianthi and DW are famous PRS players, too, but from an European perspective not the million sellers likewise Santana and JM and therefore more or less special interest persons.

Of course there are further more, Mark Holcomb of Periphery.

In Germany we do have two PRS endorsees, too, but they are unknown beyond our borders.

I wouldn't put them in the same tier either, but we'd hardly know that by looking at the treatment by PRS. I always forget Holcomb. Good add.

Don't bother much, mainly in the hope that folk don't bother me much in return.

Had a guy knock at my door once.

Just the once. He didn't do it again.

I knew a guy in a newsgroup for an artist we both adored. Sadly never met him in real life.

He said he had someone knock on his door and say, "Can we have a few moments of your time to tell you about Jesus?" He said yes and opened the door. He said they seemed a little surprised (because who lets them in?), but they walked in. He closed the door and said, "But first, let me tell you about Satan."

I don't believe humanity has evolved to the level of maturity to handle something as powerful as social media.

I checked out Facebook and Twitter a long time ago and it was the Wild West of Disinformation. Just because an opinion is popular does not make it a fact.

I grew up with friends who lived short lives due to childhood diseases and saw all the harm done to them from the medical misinformation they were subjected to in schools, neighborhoods, churches, etc. These children fought for each day of their lives.

Social media encourages a culture of victimhood where everyone competes to be seen as the biggest victim while promoting heinous misinformation about those who actually do suffer and die, and do so with tremendous grace and dignity.

Unfortunately this is the reality of the music business these days. It’s more important to have media content and social engagement than the actual substance of the music or proficiency on your instrument. There are so many talented players out there but only the ones who really market themselves stand out. I know so many talented artists that struggle to break through the noise simply because they don’t have the social media presence or there’s no local supportive scene for live music.

Obviously my business will disappear over time, but then again, so will I.

You're not getting off that lightly - I'm starting a fund to have your mind-state uploaded as a permanent forum resource.

Our family use whatsapp to keep in touch, and I have never been on facebook myself. I know its very useful for some things but definitely enjoy privacy more and the family dont use it either.

I spend 'social media' time instead on news outlets which I have found to give a different perspective to the mainstream, as I like to follow geopolitics. I use bravebrowser or rumble to avoid annoying ads.

Lots of people have told me I need to be on social media to promote my picture-scoring business.

But social media is insipid and beyond that, pisses me off. I can't do it.

I don’t see a direct connection between social media and scoring movies. It seems improbable that that is where they would be looking for someone to hire.

I personally know of a real-deal movie that was scored by a guy the director found via social media. Honest.

And lots of ads are using music people find on YouTube, etc.

Not that either thing makes a lot of sense, but it's happening every day.
