Soapbar to regular humbuckers

Can anyone advise....

Can the routing for a SE245 be re-routed to the usual double humbucker layout?

Don't wanna bother the PTC with this question, knowing someone here has probably already done it!

Any advice is always appreciated!

I emailed the PTC about this on a Maryland made guitar and was going to go from P90 to a humbucker and they said the P90 is bigger and it would require filling in part of the route and a refinish after.

I can definitely be done by someone that knows their business. You could also get P90-sized humbuckers to drop in, then you'd be able to go back if you ever wanted to, or mix and match something like a P90 in the neck and HB in the bridge.

Saw an older SE someone put"phat cats" in and sounded great...shoulda pulled the trigger!! Those are P90s that fit HB routes.
