So where’s the HSS Silver Sky?

I will go with the EG-1 from way back in the nineties with HSH…

I hear Neal put a humbucker and a Floyd on his… a Nebula, no less.

I’d buy an HSS Silver Sky. Mayer doesn’t use an HSS one, but he also doesn’t use maple fingerboards and PRS released maple SSs. So anything’s possible!

ooohhh...very purty! Do you have it splitting in position 2? Not that you need to!

Nope... no splitting in the 2 position... I've thought about retro-fitting the split but I'm worried that it might weaken the bridge side too much; truth is I really like the sound of the 2 position now, so I don't really want to mess with it (despite the fact that I compulsively fix things that ain't broke all the time, often to their detriment)

I set up my HSS strat to autosplit. Dig it.

The silver sky has starting winning me over to the PRS side recently. Not because of JM which I give hats off to for working with Mr Reed to develop this guitar. I have many different guitars like ibanez az's , fender, Yamaha revstar but mostly am a Strat S style player. The silver sky has the best Neck carve and feel out of all my guitars and I instantly bonded with everything about it except the bridge pickup which isn't prs fault but I always put a hum bucker in the bridge for my style of playing. So needless to say I modded my SE silver sky and loved it so much I bought a core silver sky in frost white and am getting ready to insert a hum bucker in it also. Would be nice if PRS would just make a model with the same neck profile in HSS. Im sure they would be a hot seller
Oh and the hum bucker I used was the seymour duncan Lari Basilio which I love the pickup.
