Had sitar on my B string after replacing the SE nut with core using 9 gauge, put some 10s on which feel better sound better and no random Indian vibes coming from the B
I also dropped a John Mann trem with brass block in and threw on some locking tuners. Levelled and polished the frets and of course the lampshades which do offer a sonic improvement also

Dude. You were not fibbing…Amazing. Ended up changing to a bone nut and I thought that was a definite improvement. But whoa - the block and saddles make this guitar pretty unbelievably good.
I just wasn’t bonding with this guitar before this - it just lacked that spank on the attack and wasn’t as bell like as I wanted. But that brass block - and maybe the modern saddles - put all of that in there. Anyway - as you can see - I’m pumped.
