I'm looking for a Singlecut Trem. Wide fat neck. I much prefer the simplified control layout - one volume, one tone, selector vs the 245 style layout.

Are there any current-production models of this sort?

Thank you!

Wow, no there does not seem to be anything in the current non-SE line up that matches your requirements.

Weird - for all the variety in the product line, there seems to be a gap.

AFAICT, the only SE that matches is the Akerfeldt.

The SE Bernie Marsden has three knobs: two volume, one tone.

You may have to go PS, which is probably not what you had in mind.

Gotta wonder, why do almost all the SCs have to have that Les Paul-like layout? Just because everyone that plays SCs expects them to be almost exactly like a LP?

I wonder if there are any discontinued models that meet your requirements...

I'm happy to buy used but I haven't been able to find The One - you know?

The SC Trem from...2007-20?? would be great if I can find one with a wide-fat neck and a top that makes me giddy.

Thanks for any help!

Yes, you can still special order one with the AP.

ATTN PRS: How is anyone supposed to know the singlecut trem exists as a model, even if its artist package only, if its not listed on the products page? Do you not want to actually sell any???? I just find it strange there is an available model that isn't on the products page. Seems like a massive oversight.

Please buy the cheap no frills NOS santana yellow one. Has the wide fat neck. I've been stalking that one for like years...

Some nice ones there! Just be mindful the #6 pickups are prob the least popular of PRS PUs, so you may not like them (some love them!), but either way expect to tweak your amp to suit.

That said, a switch to squabbin 59/09s would be very cool!

I have sen 2 at guitar ctr, one was a nature used and the other sunburst clearance item, both in the state of michigan. Still available.

Yeah, that's weird. I guess they are still set-up jig-wise for certain models to be built on-demand, but PRS perceives insufficient demand to do a production build/run. It would be nice if they mentioned this a bit more prominently - I think it would get more people buying the AP just to get those models.

Hmm, one of these years I'll pony up for an AP, probably a P24 or HB II. RW neck, probably.

Here's my singlecut trem 2003 that I purchased in 2006. Guess, I had better keep it because it is rare and is in mint shape. Maybe I will change the pickups. It seems that the tone of it is really dark. Sometimes I wish it had a brighter tone when I am playing with some gain. Clean- it sounds awesome.
