Singlecut Core vs SE Lower Bout

I rough cut my body today for a guitar build I’m doing based on a McCarty Singlecut. I have a Singlecut SE (older Korina Singlecut from Korea) and after I rough cut I realized that the templates I got have a smaller lower bout than my SE. Do the core Singlecuts have smaller bodies than the SE’s or did I just get bum templates?

Why not? I’m asking if the SE and core models have the same shape and size on the lower bout. My hunch is that the templates I got are crap but there’s always the off chance that the Korean factory cut the bodies differently. I cut it juuuust big enough to salvage it, I was hoping not to have to though

Out of appreciation and respect to our hosts. PRS is in the business of selling PRS guitars not people copying their designs.
I wonder how Fender feels about the Silver Sky then.
Or Gibson when they copied the Doublecut LP Special to make the Santana.

There are many takes on the OP. You can say they are in questionable taste as several members have (passionately) pointed out, given the nature of this forum

However if OP is just doing this for a hobby and making a PRS inspired guitar instead of (lets say) a telecaster, could this project be interpreted as a form of flattery? Is it counterfitting or a forgery if it is just for hobby, a "one off" as it were? I myself considered taking up the glove as well (made a poor copy of a suhr modern instead). It can never be confused with the real deal, but it is a lot of fun to do. And you learn a lot along the way.

I might have another take, but I am overseas, so there might be an aspect of culture involved.

Anyway, best of luck to the OP with his project and I would take the question to TDPRI forum. They exist for this kind of thing, and to the other posters: cheers :)
