Single-coil in 513 versus split-coil in 408

Does anyone have both? Interested in the neck position pickup. I've got a 513. I'm wondering how the 408 NECK p/up in Split-coil mode might be different from the 513 single coil NECK pickup. Thanks!

513 is more typical of a single coil, as in a volume drop. The design of the 408 adds extra coils, so there us not the same drop.....So the 408 is much stronger on the output. Very different. Worth trying out.

Aside from volume, is the tone itself different in any way that's easy to describe?

For me the 408 does not do the" in-between " Strat sounds does have some great single coil tone and the combos using both pickups just rock
