Silver Sky with a Flamed Maple Neck??

Question: how rare is it to see a silver sky with a flamed maple neck and headstock? I’m talking curly, not just some basic figuring.

Is this a mistake from PRS or an aftermarket bolt-on?

Welcome to the forum!

It doesn’t happen at all with regular production models. Even the limited edition Nebula ones had regular Silver Sky necks. As the SS is a signature model, I don’t know if they Private Stock them. Share a link or picture, and someone here will know.

Updated: ...and I just saw a used Tungsten one (Reverb) that also has a nicely (not as nice as the above) curly maple neck, and an asking price to match.

It was indeed pure luck!



The flame is more on the low E/bass side of the neck, but it's nice to look at for sure.
