I have a problem that i want to adress.

I received my Silver sky yesterday, and its beautiful! Well crafted and quality at is finest..

But upon plugging it in (im plugged in DI through an Arrow from UAD through Logic Pro X) im noticing that the guitar sounds alot treble heavy, and to achive a balanced Sound that is equal to some of the previous guitars i have had, i need to roll much of the tone off so that IT Will sit more pleasing to my ears and not so treble heavy.

The problem is that everything i have been told about the Silver sky is that IT do not have the icy-ness and high treble that other guitars have and a more warm sounding tone to IT. Thats just not what i experience.

Does anybody have some thoughts om this?

Thanks in Advance

You must remember that a DI is an instrument in to balanced XLR line out. Does your UAD have a switch that supports switching from "line in" to "instrument"? I think this might be the issue. Not absolutely sure, but you could check it out and see what happens.

I've personally not tried DI to an audio interface recently, so don't take my words for gospel. Most times, DI requires some form of preamp or effects before DI to make things work correctly. (This I know.) If perhaps you've got a form of preamp or boost pedal with tone shaping ability, this should work.

I'm plugging in through an X6. I don't have the problem you do, but then you haven't explained what UAD or other plugins you may be using or what kind of monitors or headphones you are using. What are your guitar volume and tone settings for the treble pickup? I would suggest if you have any UAD amp plugins you try using the Console 2 app to monitor and see what kind of sound you are getting. Luna will be available soon so you will be able to use AU plugins also in a DAW environment. Providing more information may help you get the answers you wish.

If you are just using the Arrow to connect to Logic and it's amps I can't help you. I have Logic but I tend to use Ableton Live and Pro Tools.
