Silver Sky makes strange click sounds in amp.

I just bought a great amp (Mesa Boogie California tweed 4/40) and trying it with the silver sky I noticed little click sounds coming randomly through the amp when strumming or touching the strings. It comes only occasionally and not together with the strumming but rather right after. Like static, if you will. Very hard to describe. I tried the SS with other amps, an EC Twinolux and a Vintage sounds 20. Same thing happens! My other guitars with same cable don't do it.
Any Idea what can cause this?

If I may ask, is it a guess or you have heard of a similar problem? Static in the SS? How and where? Thanks!

Have no fear. I had 2 SS now one. One had the issue and not the other. Make sure you remove the pickguard plastic, I think one of my SS static issues may have been related to it. However Get a clothes dryer sheet and lightly move it around on the pickguard and your problem should have disappeared. Let us know. Good luck.

Yes, but you have to do it on a rainy Thursday, whilst wearing a red sweater and facing North!

Thank you Rockmark! This is a little reassuring. So others have even had this happen? I'll look if German stores also have those sheets to sell (most germans have no dryer and hang their clothes to dry. No kidding). Other ways to get rid of this static?
The humour in this thread has me think this is no biggy. So you all agree it is static and can be easily remedied?

Yeah, it's happened to others. Not me (yet). But it doesn't seem to be isolated.

I saw something about rubbing the pick guard with fabric softener sheet... maybe this will help?
