I've been looking at a couple of second hand silver sky's online. One I looked at mentioned small fret wear on a 1 year old guitar. I've also seen a few comments about the SS frets wearing quickly in a few YouTube videos. Any SS owners experiencing issues with this as it's leading to second thoughts about taking the plunge on a SS either new or used

Fret wear is very much about the player. PRS uses solid materials. I haven’t had my SS that long, but if I eat the frets, as I often do, I’ll refret it. I usually go stainless due to my heavy-handed approach.

Agree with that and as such I have never had any major fret wear issues on any of my guitars including my two SE PRS. It was just a general concern wondering if SS fret wire is particularly soft. As I've said, heard a few comments about quick wear

I had seen a thing or two about it. To my knowledge it is their same fretwire material, but they are thinner than the typical medium jumbo, so they certainly would wear faster than their other guitars. No different from other vintage frets.
