Hello folks!
I have a small dilemma. I’m looking for a early PRS. I love the signatures and I love the opaque standards. I’m looking at 3 guitars at the moment and wanted to get some opinions….

First is an 89 #476 signature in quilted whale blue. Excellent condition [email protected]. I’ve been looking at this one for a while and was priced a lot higher but has come down. It is beautiful.

Second is a 87 #165 signature in quilted tortoise in near mint condition priced@8k but is also in Germany. Really haven’t seen a nicer looking signature in quite a long time.

Third is a early 86’ seafoarm green standard 24 [email protected]. Moons. Dark braz board. Super clean.

Obviously I can’t have all three or this wouldn’t be a topic. I’m also predominantly a bass player but have had guitars(Holcomb, McCarty soapbar) and now want a nice early PRS. It’s not necessarily a collectors mind frame but if I had to sell would want to get close to what I paid for it. Which one would you lean to?

Yeah that tortoise is amazing and in such good condition. I LOVE seafoam as well and haven’t seen many seafoam early PRSs.

I will say that Standards are so underrated.

There was a forum member (I can't remember his name right now) who had a significant collection of seafoam Prs's. He passed away and some other forum members bought several seafoams to help his familly. So there are some old ones somwhere out there. Maybe guys like 11Top, Hans, Sergio or Markie know who I'm talking about.

Tough choice... Good luck choosing!

And however much I like seafoam, I'd go for one of the two quilts. Both are gorgeous. I like the top of the tortoise a little better, brut prefer the colour whale blue. Simply because blue rules almost all.
