Couldn’t help notice that PRS signature speaker cables are TS unbalanced. Wondering why they decided to go that route instead of TRS balanced. Any ideas?

@RickP @Simon Says Ooh I bought the signature cables with the intent of using them with my studio monitors which have balanced inputs. Did I make a mistake there? Guess I was thinking of the wrong kind of "speaker"?

If you’re going between a mixer or guitar processor to powered studio monitors, yes, you picked up the wrong ones. You’d want either a shielded instrument cable or a trs balanced patch cable to connect those. In the case of a mixer, you can even use xlr mic cables. The TS “speaker” cable is designed to go between a power amp or guitar amp and a passive (unpowered) speaker cabinet.

I see, thanks a lot for your input! I do have an attenuator that I use with my combo guitar amp. Perhaps I can use the PRS signature speaker cables to connect the two..
