New here. I may have opportunity to buy PRS Signature Limited Edition 1991, mint condition, one out of 300. Cedar top (chambered), TOM bridge. Any information about this series would be appreciated!

Hi LMS - there is some information on the PRS site under "model history" but you seem to have most of that already. I have one, and it's a really cool guitar. There were some with maple tops, but most are cedar as the one you are looking at is. The pickups are special vintage bass pickups in both positions. So it's not as much of an "in your face" sound as a CU24 of the same era. I think the ToM bridge contributes to that ad well. Mine feels like a "standard" neck carve, very comparable to the current "pattern regular" carve. Brazzy board, mine is quite light but beautifully figured.

I've seen prices on these vary from mid 3K to high 4K depending on condition.

I had this ones twin. Mine was 280/300.....wish I had it back....

Thanks! Seller is asking 5000 euros=5700 USD. Pricey? I have seen higher prices in ebay (but not sold...). I haven´t test yet but beautiful one it is, interesting figure top (seller wasn´t 100% sure if it´s cedar).

Yes sounds high unless it was a maple top that was crazy nice. As for the cedar mine looked like that and was california redwood.
