Is membership due by the calender year, or annually from the month you joined? I am going to join. Don't want to join this week, just to sign up again next month. You guys seemed to have had a lot of fun at Experience this year. I hope to go in 2014 and meet up with you.

Thank you guys very much. I'm doing it! I hope I can see y'all in September!!!

Jamie, did you get to see my post about the Artist Page?

Yes, but I have nothing to do with the PRS website. I don't work for the company. I'm a civilian… ;)

What makes this membership worth the $60? I joined last March and I am not sure I will re-up next time.

Well - T-shirt, $20. Strings, $10. Truss rod cover - call it $10, but it's as much a memento as anything (I've never put one of the Sig Club TRCs on a guitar). So that's about $40. You get 10% off purchases through the Lifestyle Shop, so YMMV on how much that's worth to you.

There are occasional Sig Club events. That's only useful if you're in that area and you can go, but if you can, how much is something like that worth.

For me, the opening night event at Experience, which is exclusive to Sig Club members and their guests, is worth it to me. I've seen Carlos Santana, Buddy Guy, David Grissom and Mark Tremonti, among others, at the event. Again, YMMV - the artist every year is not necessarily to my taste, but I'm one of hundreds of people there.

More important is that it's an extra night to hang around people who have become friends, and it's a very low-key evening. Sure, there are two additional days to hang, but Friday and Saturday are a little busier.

That's what makes it worth $60 to me. YMMV, and no one will (well, no one should) have a problem with that.

very valid points. I think the chance to see top acts at the experience would be the kicker.

There was a recent video I saw recently which conveyed the impression that the PRS Experience is only for those who are interested in buying a Private Stock guitar or something like that. I've never been to one of these PRS Experience events before and I would love to have a PS guitar made for me someday (which is not out of the question for me) but I wouldn't want to feel like I was participating in a huge sales pitch event or feel obligated to by a big ticket item if I were to attend.

So, I'm a bit hesitant to attend one of these events. I already have two flawless PRS guuitars and I don't have a real "need" for any more because these two really get the job done, but I would like the idea of just hanging out with people, relaxing and enjoying the atmosphere. So, I don't know. We'll see. I also already have shirts and strings and truss rod covers etc.

Nothing could be farther from the truth…

There oars hundreds of regulate line guitars and SEs available to fondle and buy, clinics, concerts, meet and greets, drunken debauchery, animal sacrifice…

You know, all the fun stuff…

It's a great chance to meet folks on the board. I've made some great friends, over the years…

Oh, well in that case, maybe I'll see you there. :top:

To echo what Jamie said, this is far from the truth. I think the reason for Experience is to show you WHY the company makes such great guitars. It gives them the chance to explain the process and also show you exactly how much attention to detail and care go into these guitars. It also allows you to meet like minded people and just have fun guitar talks all weekend over some food and beer while catching some great music.

I will also say though that a good number of people tend to leave experience with new gear that they were NOT expecting to buy - while I've never personally left with a new guitar from the event, sometimes when a guitar speaks to you and very appealing event numbers are crunched sheer magic happens...

This.

I really can't say enough about the Sig Club and Experience. I highly suggest taking part.

On top of all of this, I don't think anyone mentioned that dinner is provided at the Signature event Thursday night. So you get a truss rod cover, t-shirt, strings, lanyard, dinner and a show with some cool acts in a small venue setting, and you get to meet Alan. For $60, it's like your're stealing.

Seriously, Experience is great. They treat you like family, whether you're in the Sig Club or not. So much so that I bought a guitar 2 times at Experience (and almost a 3rd time), just to show my appreciation. Great people making great guitars (and amps).

I personally saw many, many pigeons blasted out of the sky with no remorse....

It was downright barbaric!
