Pete that PS is KILLER!!!!! What a great looking guitar. I know the tones match the looks!
Thanks! And yes, the tones match the looks for sure!! A real tone Monster...
Private Stock #1209 "The Hog"
Why "The Hog"? There must be a story behind the name.
One of the only all mahogany (AKA 'Hog) PS guitars I've ever seen.
Aha, that makes perfect sense
IIRC, Chris T did a triple soapbar in al mahogany about 10-12 years ago...
That's the only other one I'm aware of. If memory serves, Eric Martin was the dealer and it started life with 2 soapbars. The 3rd was added by PRS some time later.
With the exception of my own #3340 (1st jade glow)....this is IMO the most impressive PS I've ever seen. Not only is it an heirloom piece commemorating an important date for Tim & his wife....the combination of colors and the use of the inlays just makes my jaw drop. I rarely, if ever, respond to these types of threads...this one was an exception. I am in awe.
One that I used to own, PS #1031...
PS# 1275, 1276, & 1277
#611 - Custom 22
For those of you old enough to remember the 70's.....this guitar should have been named "Lemon" or "Rohrer"....it is the "Quaalude 714 Guitar" !!!!
PS #1613 Pre-DGT Brazzy Neck & Board
