Show Me Your S2 Guitars

Forgive me if there is already an S2 thread somewhere, but I do not recall seeing one in the past.
Here is my NGD thread from February 18 2017

This is my first S2, but I have a feeling it will not be my last.
I have a hankering for an all black S2 SC250 Semi-Hollow if my dealer can locate one.
Black is not listed as one of the colors for this model, so I think it may have to be a 2015 like my present S2 if he can locate me one.

This new S2 is one of my favorite guitars to play right now.
It plays as great as my 2013 408 MT, and what I really like is the light weight of it.
This is my first all black guitar, and I am diggin' it.
Next upgrade will more than likely be all black Seymour Duncan 59s for both positions.

I sent off an email again to my dealer about an SC, and if he can find one, I want the Mann 2300 bridge like yours installed too.
You had to use the USA inserts that screw into the body correct since the S2 stud holes are metric like the SEs?

I actually kept the S2 studs on this one. The bridge tilts forward slightly, but doesn't have any negative affect.
The bridge comes with USA inserts and the tools to change them.

I sent off an email again to my dealer about an SC, and if he can find one, I want the Mann 2300 bridge like yours installed too.

Ditto this. John will send the correct studs and tools to change them. IIRC you have to specify when ordering that it's going into a metric (SE / S2). There's an option to pick when completing your order.

Thanks, I saw the option this morning when looking at them.
I believe they are shipping now too with the metric body inserts.
John will also have two new black bridges April the 15th.

Les, have you tried any of the S2s yet?
Sadly I had to put my S2 away for the night, it is all tucked in and asleep in its case until next Friday when I get home from work.
I do leave out a few of my others to play during the week after work though.
Now if it time for me to go sleep
The work morning comes fast.

And to be honest with you, I do not really see much difference between my 408s Pattern Thin neck and the Pattern Regular on this S2 of mine.
In fact I am starting to like it better than the Wide/Thin on my SE Tremonti Custom and SE Custom 24.

Here is my s2 30th anniversary custom 24, I upgraded the switching to a 5 way and put in VB and HFS to pay homage to the land mark 30th anniversary event last yr. It was a blast to see folks and the concert was awesome!!!!
I was the last person to get PRS Himself's signature on the control cover before security took him in to the factory to prepare for the end of event closing.

Well, there is a story to that guitar's selection. While at the event, on the last day, I finally made my mind up to get an s2. But I was not feeling the flame on the models out on the sell table. I ask Matt ( Mr PTC himself) if I could look at the lot and pick the top I want. In 2 mins I was escorted passed the doors to the staging area for the guitars for sell and went thru 12 selections!!!!! This is why I love PRS!!! What customer service. The young lady helping me was fantastic, and she actually made the final decision. Looking forward to this June's event and possibly a s2 vela, unless they make a CORE vela????????

Here's the S2 Custom 24 I just picked up. Replaced the stock electronics for all US parts ( pots, 5 way switch, output jack) and put in some 59/09's. Even though I was quite pleased with the stock electronics, these really set it off. Couldn't be happier with the guitar at this point.

I only have one, and only recently figured out that it was an S2 -- thought I bought it before S2s came out, but apparently I hadn't -- a black Mira with a black pickguard (Iommi style).
