That's a good question. It is definitely an ebony. It may be Diospyros Malabarica (aka black and white ebony). The neck and fretboard are Macassar.

As to your other question, I was there. I'm pretty excited about what's in the cooker, but they won't qualify for this thread.

Gotta love me some Diospyros. I can't get enough of that $hit.

Thanks. The neck is rosewood, first rosewood neck McNaught G5. I'm not sure sure what variety. I would guess Indian. Since I've owned it, I've thought many times that I should not have put a maple top on it. The back is beautiful!
