Had to have shoulder surgery yesterday for a significant AC joint separation. Tore all the connecting ligaments in a nasty mountain bike crash a few months ago - unfortunately, did not heal on its own, even with PT. Right arm is completely immobilized, so guitar playing is out of the question for quite some time. Yes, this sucks but hopefully will be back in action before long. In addition to a couple of titanium plates in my shoulder, they use a donor ligament to reattach everything. I should’ve asked ahead of time if the dear departed, who so kindly gave me his or her ligament, was a good guitar player. I could use all the help that I can get. :)

Thankful for speech to text, otherwise this post would’ve taken me about an hour or two tap out with my left thumb!

Best of luck to you....and don't skip your rehab!

After 2 rotator cuff surgeries I had a full reverse replacement 5 weeks ago on my right shoulder. Started rehab two weeks ago and they're taking it slow but I know the drill all too well. Good news is I started back playing for a little bit everyday without pain. Hoping to be back on the golf course by April 1st!!

That’s great to hear that your recovery has started, and you’re able to play a bit. All the best!
