As a regular model, this is big-time cool. I can’t say enough about the comfort, playability, and tonal beauty of this model. This belongs in everyone’s corral.

This semi-hollow is KILLER, but it would be out of the park if PRS added some figured maple, dropped the pickguard, added the white plastic birds and offered it in some unique colors like Trans Orange, a clear Natural....something that emphasizes the "Gretschy" kitsch that the Vela has. Maybe a new PS idea???

Well they did do it before (reclaimed semi-hollow), and those sound great! I'm thinking about picking one up and putting my Starla PUPs in and move the Neck pickup to the middle. That could be a fun project.

Standard vs Custom top
Singlecut or doublecut

Lastly no constraints due to tradition (hint: adjustable metal nuts).
