SE24 Custom high pitch irritating sound

I have 2020 SE 24 Custom - I play this through a Line6 Pod Go and Headrush speaker.

The sound on the high E string above the 12th fret sounds like a cat screaming in heat -- an annoying rapid vibrato-like screech. I have been assuming it was the Line 6 or speaker until I switched tried a Strat and LP. Both sounded fine which means it is the PRS..... OUCH!!!

The switch setting make no difference.
The Line6 patch makes no difference
It start only on High E at between the 12th and 15th fret and above.

I am at a loss.....

Might be the springs for the trem.

Thanks Distort --- what do you suggest I do to test this out? I just looked and it came with an extra spring

Try to mute them with a piece of foam between the cover and the springs.
That would stop them from resonating.

I wonder if this is just a little fret buzz. Try raising the high E string saddle a bit.
