I'm wondering what the difference is between the SE Tremonti (besides the tremolo) and the SE McCarty 594 Singlecut.
My impression with the Tremonti is that it is aimed at the heavy metal market? Some of the Tremonti (core) finishes are quite nice.

I had an SE Tremonti. It’s the only guitar I regret selling. The neck on the tremonti will be thinner, and if you get the trem version, it has an up route. It will also weigh more. Mark likes heavier guitars. The 594 is just more less pawl like. The pickups? Who cares, you can change them. If you can, play them both.

Up route?

I personally have had many of these over the years. Great playing and sounding guitars.
