just noticed when i put the 3 way toggle switch in the middle position, to have both humbuckers working, the volume knobs dont seem to be very responsive, both humbuckers are working , ive checked using a a coin on their pole screws, if i turn the tone knobs then the volume knobs start to make a difference, is there something wrong with the toggle switch or the volume knobs, or something else, ive only had this guitar for a few days, i would rather not have to post it back to the retailer if is just for a new toggle switch, cheers steve

Are the knobs static-y when you turn them? Or the switch when you flip it? If so, there might be a little atmospheric oxidation thing going on with the contacts on either of them. If I suspected that, the first thing I'd do would be to use some electrical contact spray cleaner on them, then working them while hitting them with a directed blast of compressed air. That should flush out any oxidation debris and give you good metal to metal contact once more. Just a guess on my part without any more information.

after looking at the guitar today, im kind of thinking that the volume knobs are just not that responsive, when the toggle switch is in the middle position, because they work fine when the toggle switch is on the neck or bridge pickups, they just seem to roll off the volume at number 5 when the toggle switch is in the middle , ie both humbuckers, so probably this is normal for these volume pots, might try putting better pots in, was thinking of upgrading the electricals anyway, just put in grover 406c locking tuners, they work well keeping the guitar in tune even when using a bit of whammy bar, so all in all like the guitar alot, cheers steve, if anybody thinks these volume pots should behave the same way as when in neck or humbucker mode please let me know, as i could return the guiatr for a repair under warranty
