I ordered my new Tremonti SE Custom two days ago. I'm looking forward to getting it. I'm getting the black/grey one.

I like the fact that it is a thick bodied, heavy guitar and I'm interested in how the maple neck will sound in this combination. Hopefully it will sound great. How do you guys like the sound of your maple necks on mahogany body guitars? I have at least one mahogany body, maple neck guitar but I never paid much attention to how it sounded compared to other guitars. It sounds good.

I expect to get the guitar next Tuesday, but the anxiety is definitely building up. I can see that it is on its way to me but it is coming all the way from the desert West, a long haul to Central Pennsylvania.

You can see my list of guitars in my sig below, and mg SE Tremonti Custom is my favorite next to my USA 408.
I really like the thin neck, and the stock pickups sound great to me.

I hope I have good luck myself. I'm actually worried about that long truck ride across the US desert, semi-arid West, and hot Mid-West, all the way to Pennsylvania. I suppose it is really, really hot in those tractor trailers. I'm not interested in any warping, cracking, etc.

I should have requested two day air freight, but most of my stuff from this place comes in one day from NJ by truck, and they claim they don't know which warehouse it is shipping from until it has already been scanned as loaded on the truck. All I can do is hope for the best. A week on the road in a tractor trailer truck doesn't sound like the ideal transportation method.

Congrats man! Don't worry too much about the shipping, your guitar will be fine. About the maple neck...I notice a big difference between it and my 2 mahogany necked usa Tremonti's. Has a different pop to the notes, gives it different character. The maple neck is very thin also, total shredder neck!
