Had a korean 245, replaced it with an indonisian 24.
The 24 has a very shrill and biting top end, the coil split is unusable. I keep the tone at 6 to keep things under control.
The 245 had a much more pleasing tone and i think was built much sturdier in general.
I'm really clueless- Is this related to the korea/indonesia thing?
And are all se 24 like this or is that an exception? How could it be fixed?

It's probably more that the SE24 is made differently with different pickups. The 245 is more of an LP type with a PAF vibe. I would recommend lowering the pickups on the SE24 and see if that gets you more of the tone you are looking for. Just a 1/4 turn at a time until you hear the tone you are after.

I had to work with pickup heights for some time on my STD 24 until I could get it balanced and not shrill. Now that I dialed it in I really love it, and all switch positions sound really good with the stock pickups. Start by lowering them further than you think you should - play it for a while or days - raise the pickups by 1/2 turn - repeat until you dial in a sweet spot.

Korean SE245s are great and no doubt set a high bar for comparison.

And all guitars need to be set up correctly.
