SE Santana: current 24-fret or prior 22-fret. Do I care?

I can convince myself either way on the colors: the 22-fretter's Scarlet/whatever red to honor the body's obvious LP Special forebear, or the 24-fret's yellow to honor good ol' TV Yellow (and get a reminder of PRSness via the flamey flame flame).

The yellow looks more deluxe - brighter color, zebra pickups and light headstock, I suppose - while the red is awfully utilitarian by comparison. And I HAVE a red LP Special DC faded, so kinda have that base covered.

I guess if the current yellow version was 22-fret, my mind would be made up. In an earlier life I would always go for a 22-fret neck instead of a 24, but maybe I'm capable of learning new tricks. I'm not depressed by the SE Custom 24.

I'm just asking those who have experience with both versions of the Santana: is the extra tone-fat with the 22-fret neck humbucker important to the guitar? Anyone got opinions? Dissect and discuss.

That's exactly what I wanted to hear! Thank you for the succinct disambiguation. The stars align.

My 2013 SE Santana Cherry Red is very SG like and 22 frets. I sold the yellow 24 fret one as I liked the Red 22 mo bettah.
