I've got a nice natural finish SE Singlecut coming in the mail (prior owner's already put covered Duncan 59/JB in it) and I'm thinking I want to "de-cream" it and go with black knobs/pickup rings/toggle tip. I was searching around the forums and found partial answers to some of these questions, but I'm not 100% on them yet.

- What kind of pickup rings do I need? Slanted/non-slanted? Any size issues, bearing in mind someone's already put covered Duncans in?

- Can I put any speed knobs on it? I've read you can put the USAs on SE but not vice versa due to spline size...but there's some non-PRS knobs I've got my eye on.

- Do I need to get an 'import' toggle tip?

Thanks!

For the stoptail, I believe you would want the slanted pup rings. I don't believe there should be any issues with the Duncans going in there.

I know the US pots are slightly larger than your typical G brand style pots, meaning that if it is exactly to spec, it probably won't fit. However, in my experience, it can be a case by case basis as to whether the spline holes on the knobs are true to size. I've used knobs that, on paper, shouldn't have fit, but once I got they fit quite well! I'm not sure if the SE pots are the same size as the US pots.

As far as the toggle switch, I honestly don't know. Maybe someone else might know?

Congrats on the new Singlecut!

The toggle switch tips can be ordered through PRS, but they come 1 black and 1 cream. I just got a pair to 'decream' mine so I'm gonna have some creamies if anybody needs any.

I have black slanted rings I don`t want. PM me and we can work out the details. They`ll be cheap.
