SE PIEZO PICKUPS VOLUME PROBLEM
The pickups on my SE ii piezo sound good volume levels when plugged into the "mag " input only.
When I plug into the "mix/piezo" input, the magnetic pickups on their own with the piezo on zero volume are much quieter
than in the "mag " input. Is this normal ?

I found my Piezo pickup extremely hot when I first got it. Took a while to find the sweet spot but now I totally love it. But I only play it through the acoustic channel on my Katana 50 (don't have a dedicated acoustic amp...yet).
There is an attenuator control on the board inside the electronics compartment though, I haven't adjusted mine at all but maybe that will help you out. To get at it you have to remove the screws and pull the whole board out of the compartment, but not that difficult.

Thanks, but the piezo is not the problem. It is the volume drop of the magnetic pickups in the "mix" input compared to the "mag" input.

Sorry, misunderstood your issue. Mine doesn't do that, at least not that I've really taken notice of. I usually run the mags thru a different/separate amp though

I found my pot was turned to the minimum, which the article says is CCW and it's wildly loud and can only just barely open the volume on it before it's ear piercingly loud, lol.

OK, I was adjusting from the top of the board. So CCW is CW, lol. The CCW direction is from the back of the board, sort of weird. You can adjust from either side and when I turned the guitar over and pulled out the board I could also see the piezo adjustment as well and the stenciled adjustment direction on the back, solder side of the board. Strange but mystery solvolved.
