Well... Bargain price... Black... Moons... My longstanding desire for a Les Paul Jr, but dislike of all things Gibson... I was helpless against it.

I hereby blame Hans for sharing his bargain One score and sweet pickup mod... mAd66 (yeah he's new, but no mercy) for his recent SE One thread... Iceman101 for sharing a pic of his badass One collection in that thread... Sergio for hooking me on the bargain SE drug... Let's throw in Paul Smith and anyone else responsible at PRS for good measure... eBay (obviously)... and of course everyone else here for keeping this forum classy and active.

I am, of course, in no way responsible for my own actions. :flute:


If it turns out to be a keeper, I'll even sell a Telecaster. I'm already thinking of maybe an underwound Fralin noiseless P-90, or maybe a Lollar mini hum, or I could go crazy with a TV Classic Plus! Perhaps add a three-way mini toggle tone switch.

This purchase does provide a bit of motivation to move the Santana SE I just bought. It was a case of "Sure, I'll go the opening bid but no more, so someone will surely outbid me. Oops." I just realized why I've been having GAS pains lately. My guitar buying history shows I can't go more than three years without getting something new. Until this month I hadn't bought anything since 2011.

I like the simplicity of mine...as tempting as it is to add tone controls, I embrace the lack thereof on this guitar.
I have plenty of others with too many knobs & switches...
