So the SE Hollowbody I bought had some tuning issues that I attributed to too narrow slot widths. I have some slot files and very lightly widened the slots. While cleaning the fretboard during the string change I bumped the nut and it fell off. It didn't appear to be glued in place at all. I thought nuts were normally kept in place by a little glue. Just enough to keep it from sliding around during string bends. Maybe this is what was causing my tuning issues.

Either way, I put a small dab of wood glue on it and left it to sit over night. The next day the tuning seemed to be much better. Due to the reworked slots or the fixed in place nut, I'm not sure. But things are much more gooder now.

Glad to hear the tweaks helped. Upgrading the SE nut did wonders for my SE One. I would say it's a requirement for me now.

BTW, the nut on that guitar was ridiculously glued in!
