Saw this for TRADE on another forum. NOT MINE - DON'T know the seller...
It may not be posted for long, but I thought it was interesting piece of PRS history.
He's "Fishing" and the ad may be pulled. :wink:

So I'm sure it's a fine guitar but I'd trade for a PS so fast there'd be a vapor trail! :laugh:

There must be some miscommunication - something lost in translation. He just sent me a PM looking for a Bogner in trade.

It's a cool guitar. If I could find a Bogner for $750-$1000 I'd buy it and trade him.

There has been MUCH discussion about this guitar on that forum as well as another one that many from here are on.

Cool guitar, but I'd NEVER offer a PS for it.

Very cool guitar....I've played it. I kinda don't understand the thread.....The guy actually owns the guitar and who knows what he's been offered. It is #1....it is in a color that wasn't offered in production. What would PRS serial #1 be worth? Stranger things have happened ie....Paul gave Han's better 1/2 a guitar.:laugh: I have no clue who the seller is....I do know the story behind the guitar. It just rubs me wrong when folks ad bash. I left the MLP forum just for that reason. I've seen A LOT shadier deals there and elsewhere than this. :shakehands:

My post was not intended as a "bash" at all. I thought it was an interesting piece of PRS history.

No comment on "value" - I was just surprised that he'd state that he turned down a PS Build.... That's all, no judgement... Just my honest reaction to his statement.

I just got several emails that this issue ran it's course over on another forum - but not before their Mods cleaned up some drama. Lets make sure this remains a civil discussion.

I don't see any bashing. I see a member sharing a link to a cool guitar and comments (including my own) about the seller's claim that he turned down a PS from PRS. Who knows, maybe it's true. But I think it's reasonable to note that it seems odd if he was willing to accept a Bogner in trade. I remain concerned that a guitar belonging to a member of this forum could be caught up in a messy situation. I will contact him to make sure he is aware.

One of the benefits of a guitar forum is tracking things like this - advising each other - a brotherhood, if you will. If we can't keep each other informed with the truth then what good is it? This brings to light one of the reasons we don't host used gear sales.

I'm pretty sure PRS did not offer a Private Stock in exchange for this guitar. Hell, I own SE#2 and I'd be happy to trade a US built production PRS for it. Any takers?
