SE Hollowbody II Piezo very loud

Love my new SE Hollowbody II Piezo......except....
Question is that the Piezo pickup is super hot, it's probably more than twice as loud as the magnetic pickups. Is this normal?
It really is a big difference. Thanks for any help.

IRC you can adjust the volume in the PU cavity for the piezo. Not for every string separately, but for all of them at once

Are you playing through an electric or acoustic amp?

The piezos do come out hot (especially when blended with the magnetic pickups), but when I switch my Katana to the acoustic amp mode, the piezos are perfect volume when maxed out, even when mixed with the magetics.

However, you can always unscrew the input jack and pull out the circuit board. There's a master volume adjustment dial for the piezo there.

Thanks for the info. I did find a picture of where to adjust the volume for the piezo. It now matches the magnetic pickups.

I removed the board and and found that my piezo adjustment was at the maximum CCW, which the article says is the minimum. So either the article is incorrect or there's an issue with the used HB ii piezo SE I just bought. It gets way too loud as soon as the volume is increased from off by just a little bit. Not very useful at such a high volume all the time.
